Surface Pressure Gauges: SPIDR and DATA TRAP
As our main field service, we have qualified and highly experienced operators in the handling and processing the data from DRC's SPIDR system, and AKS TECHNOLOGIES' DATA TRAP pressure logger. Here are some details:
The SPIDR (from DRC) was developed for pressure–transient testing of oil and gas wells without running gauges down-hole. The SPIDR system includes software for programming, downloading, and communicating with the unit and a program for converting the acquired wellhead pressure data to bottom-hole conditions and generating all the plots necessary for reservoir analysis. Pressure-transient testing from the surface avoids the risks and costs associated with running gauge down-hole. Surface testing may be the only option for highly deviated wells, horizontal wells, wells with tubing restrictions, sour-gas wells, high pressure wells and wells with high bottom-hole temperature. The results obtained are equivalent to those from testing with down-hole gauge, without the many risks and costs of down-hole testing (nothing is placed in the well-bore, and the SPIDR unit is CSA-certified Explosion-Proof and Intrinsically Safe.)

ECHOMETER DIGITAL WELL ANALYZER
The Well Analyzer is a computerized instrument for acquiring acoustic liquid level data, acoustic pressure transient data, dynamometer data and motor power/current data in one compact package. The Well Analyzer consists of a notebook computer and electronics package housed in a rugged case. The computer controls data acquisition, processes and analyzes the data, and displays the results. Superior state-of-the-art sigma-delta technology digitizes the signals from the various transducers.
